Hello readers,

On January 7th, the United States Department of Justice released Volume 1 of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s report [1]. Though there are two Volumes — Volume 1 detailing President-Elect Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election and Volume 2 detailing the case focused on Trump’s mishandling of classified documents at his home — only the first was publicly released, as there is still pending litigation regarding the second [1].

Below, I will summarize THE FIRST TWO SECTIONS of the contents of the released report, section by section. I will not provide analysis, opinions, or conclusions; I simply want to present the information in an easily accessible format, as these were events of great historical significance.
