Wednesday Reader: Executive Actions, Memorandums and Announcements (2/8/25 - 2/11/25)

Hello readers,
Like last week, we are releasing a mid-week digest covering executive actions spanning from last weekend until Tuesday, February 11.
Things are moving quickly in government these days, especially in the Office of the President, and we want to keep you as informed as possible while providing the relevant facts in small, digestible chunks.
After this, our next issue will be the Saturday digest — The Capitol Hill Reader 14 — covering more executive actions, the federal courts, and the actions of Congress.

— executive orders on DOGE activities, the superiority of plastic straws, and more
— a fact sheet explaining recent tariffs imposed by the Trump Administration on all steel and aluminum imports
